Born in Marianna, Florida, Jim Streetman graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Auburn University in 1976. He received his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 1979. After practicing law in all areas of practice, including serving as a City Prosecutor for the City of Jackson, Mississippi, Jim became the founding partner of the Mississippi office for Scott, Sullivan, Streetman & Fox in 1990. He has also served as a Special Master for Hinds County, Prosecutor for the City of Ridgeland, MS, General Counsel to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and an Adjunct Professor at the Mississippi College School of Law. He currently also serves as an Arbitator and Mediator, in addition to Judge Pro Tempore in Madison, Mississippi.

Jim is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, is a member of the Mississippi Bar, the Hinds County Trial Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, Mississippi Claims Association, Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel and the Madison County Bar Association. He is also licenses to practice law in all State and Federal Courts for Mississippi, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, The United States Supreme Court and the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Tribal Court.
