Originally from Baldwin County, Alabama, Robby is a graduate of The University of Alabama and The University of Alabama School of Law, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to joining the firm, Robby clerked for a Mobile, Alabama-based law firm and the Hon. William H. Steele, Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama.

Since joining the firm, Robby has developed a diverse, regional practice focused on the defense of products liability, professional liability and personal injury litigation. He regularly appears in state and federal courts throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Tennessee as lead counsel for clients ranging from product manufacturers, to long-term care facilities to individual medical and non-medical professionals being sued in errors and omissions litigation. Robby also regularly defends catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases of all types, and he has experience in environmental, land use, civil rights, class action, and commercial litigation.

Robby has been successful in obtaining summary judgment in favor of medical device manufacturers, multiple products liability cases, heavy truck manufacturers physicians, anesthesiologists, long-term residential care providers, and mental health professionals. In addition, Robby has obtained defense verdicts at trial in favor defendants in cases ranging in all aspects of torts, breaches of applicable standards of care and professional liability. Has has also been successful in exonerating physicians and counselors in licensure actions by applicable governing bodies.

Robby has been widely recognized for his success by his clients and peers. He maintains an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating through Martindale Hubbell. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings are an objective indicator of a lawyer’s high ethical standards and professional ability. Attorneys receive a Peer Review Ratings based on evaluations by other members of the bar and the judiciary in the United States and Canada, and less than 5{a78baddf43086512df7e14a040b24a860466c11d7bddda834c585a652ec6dc60} of attorneys hold an AV Preeminent rating.

Robby has also been selected as a Rising Star by Alabama and Mid-South Super Lawyers in multiple successive years in the field of Products Liability Defense, and he is also co-listed by that publication for his work in the areas of Professional Liability and Personal Injury Defense. Robby is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and has been noted as one of the top attorneys under 40 in Alabama by Business Alabama magazine.

An avid outdoorsman and competitive long-range shooter, Robby is married to the former Millie Worley. They live in Birmingham with their their daughter, Adelaide, and their two dogs, and enjoy international travel whenever work permits.
